KARA SAARINEN
EVENT PRODUCER
BACKGROUND
Seasoned Freelance Event Professional | Conference & Retreat Specialist
I thrive on connecting people through unique, engaging, and impactful experiences.

My career in event production began in college, where I became known for organizing fun and memorable gatherings. That passion evolved into a professional journey, starting at a modeling and talent agency where I got my first taste of large-scale event planning.
After graduating from Arizona State University, I launched my career in strategic fundraising and event management with Patricia Hurley & Associates in Chicago. As a Lead Account Executive, I managed events with financial outcomes ranging from $250,000 to over $7,000,000.

Moving to New York, I led the events department at boutique fundraising consulting firm Perry Davis Associates. There, I honed my expertise in high-end nonprofit fundraising events, working within tight budgets to create meaningful, large-scale experiences. My passion for immersive event production led me to pivot into freelance experiential event planning—and I haven’t looked back.

I now specialize in dynamic conference planning, company and group retreats, and large-scale immersive events. From strategy to execution, I create seamless and engaging experiences that leave a lasting impact.

When I’m not onsite or deep in pre-production planning, you’ll find me traveling, dining, and relaxing with family and friends.
